Introducing Two New LC/MS Systems for Confident Protein ID and Structural Elucidation

The new Thermo Scientific LTQ Velos and LTQ Orbitrap Velos mass spectrometers feature new technologies that rapidly deliver the most confident protein and metabolite identification, characterization and quantitation. Find out how unique dual pressure trap technology and API source improvements enable the identification of more low abundant compounds in less time at our upcoming live webinar: Thursday, May 14th at 8:00 AM PST/11:00 AM EST/17:00 CET.

Sign up to attend a live webinar introducing the new technologies or find out more at www.thermo.com/velos.

What's New
SRS Pro Solvent Recycling System

NEW Thermo Scientific SRS Pro Solvent Recycling System can reduce mobile phase consumption by up to 90%. This is achieved by continuously monitoring the output signal of the chromatographic detector, recycling the mobile phase to the solvent reservoir when the baseline is below a certain preset threshold.

Increase Laboratory Productivity on the DFS with Dual Data Acquisition

Analysis of dioxins and furans (PCDD's/PCDF's) in accordance with EPA1613 or EN1948 takes a GC cycle time of some 45-60 minutes. During this cycle, only the time between the first and last eluting analyte compounds is of analytical interest, the rest is idle time. The Dual Data Acquisition option is a hardware modification based on a Dual GC-Single MS configuration. It enables alternating injection series into both GCs which allows both GCs to alternately show data between the first and last eluting analyte, leading to increase of the number of HRMS duty cycles and a subsequent increase in productivity.

One dual-GC single-MS system, equipped with the Dual Data Acquisition option, has a comparable sample throughput of two single GC-MS systems.
